Lauren and Andrew’s wedding under the gorgeous Cop Cot in Central Park was so lovely! Lauren’s sweet mother bought dozens of roses and personally took the petals off in true DIY fashion so that she could set a romantic path down the aisle for the husband and wife to-be. The ceremony was beautiful, and naturally there were a couple of standout moments! The couple forgot their official rings! No fear though, because their parents supplied their rings for the exchange, which was actually a beautiful moment in which their families were connected and passing their love on, in a sense. Second: So, they SAY that if a bird poops on you it’s good luck, but what if you look up and see a squirrel eating a dead bird? I mean…I would vote that that is EXTREME luck!?! It was QUITE the moment. These two and their families rolled with the day with such absolute grace and warm humor. Lucky we were indeed, because we were able to get through the day without a torrential summer downpour AND make it to the carousel before it closed AND have time to spare before the lovebirds had to head downtown for dinner!
Lauren and Andrew, I’m so so happy for you two; I know the wedding-bird-squirrel incident signifies you’ll be blessed for years to come :). It was such an honor and joy to bear witness to your beautiful union and capture your love in my lens!
And Lauren, thank you for being first person to tell me that BHLDN is an acronym for “beholden”. You will always hold a special place in my clueless little heart.
