I feel so lucky that I got the opportunity to capture Spencer & Gideon’s love on their wedding day. After getting ready at the adorable Channel Road Inn, we headed to their close family friend’s home in Santa Monica for the rest of the festivities. We took some portraits on a romantic bridge next to the house, then headed to the backyard, which was artfully decorated by planner Jason Mitchell Kahn and florist, The Velvet Poppy. First, Spencer and Gideon read and signed their ketubah with heartwarming tears in the company of a few of their closest guests, then it was time for their ceremony. They chose to be under the chuppah with their loved ones surrounding them in a circle. You could feel the love radiating in the space. At one point, the guests lifted their arms toward the center where they stood to send their prayers and wishes, and it felt sacred. The entire day and night felt like it was wrapped in a warm hug cultivated by Spencer and Gideon. It’s clear that these two are an incredibly special couple who love each other deeply and hold those closest to them dearly.
Spencer and Gideon, it was such an honor!!! Wishing you both a lifetime of happiness <3 -Sydney
