What’s most important to you right now?
My health and the health of my family and my friends. Staying busy and trying to keep a schedule so that I don’t just get lost in Netflix and the boredom of not being able to go out.
What was most important to you before you had to social distance?
I was really focused on school and where I was going next with my life.
What’s the first thing you’ll do when this is over?
Definitely going to go see my friends–especially the ones from university I didn’t get to say a proper goodbye to. Since we’re all graduating this year it’s not like we’re going to be back in September. I definitely want to say a proper goodbye to them.
What are you doing to pass the time?
I was really busy with schoolwork still, because I was doing an honors these, but now that I’ve submitted that I’m realizing what everyone’s saying with boredom and having nothing to do. So definitely a lot of Netflix.
What makes you happy right now?
Still staying connected to my friends. I FaceTimed the other day with my best friend for an hour and that really made me happy, picked me up, and made me feel less alone even though we are still separated.
What would you tell yourself two months ago with the knowledge you have today?
To definitely appreciate being around people and spending time with my friends and family. I knew I was going to graduate so I was kind of getting ready to say goodbyes and appreciate things, but I didn’t realize that my last time–my last class, my last lab, or my last time hanging out with people–was going to be the last time right then.
