What’s most important to you right now?

My health, my family, mental health, not losing my mind. Knowing that everybody I love is healthy and safe and really taking this seriously.

What was most important to you before you had to social distance?

My priorities were happiness but in a different way. Being successful or being satisfied in my work as opposed to looking at all the little things. Am I good? Am I healthy? Am I strong enough to even do my work? My world was so different, and now it’s all about the little things.

What’s the first thing you’ll do when this is over?

Probably go home to Southern California and see my mom and my brother and my little nephew. Go to the beach. Feel the sun.

What are you doing to pass the time?

Reading, pilates. Doing things for myself, even if it’s just a face mask. Storing up my strength and doing things that make me feel good in addition to working from home.

What makes you happy right now?

My dog, and working out.

What would you tell yourself two months ago with the knowledge you have today?

Be patient and really use those survival skills and trust your instincts. Don’t get wrapped around the things that don’t matter. When it comes down to it, I’ve been able to live and exist happily without all the bells and whistles. I’ve learned how little I need to do my work and to live a happy life. We humans are finding that we don’t need all of that stuff.
